As you know that IPL 2018 is about to start in next few weeks and the preparations are on in full swing. The teams have been decided and the players have been distributed with the help of auction. Just like the last IPL, there are 8 teams playing in this IPL and each team represents a state in India. It should be noted that representing a state doesn’t mean that the team would only have a player from that state. Each team has diversity when it comes to players and the team has players from across the world.

You might be aware of the fact that each team needs to have a minimum of 18 players and the maximum number of players that any team can have is 25. In addition to this, a team can’t have more than 8 foreign nationality players. So the teams are distributed accordingly and there are many popular players in each time. The teams also have some of the youngsters who are looking for a platform for their career.

If you talk about the last year’s IPL, there were 8 teams which played the game and the teams are same as this time. In addition to this, do you remember the winner of the last year’s IPL? Well, if you do not, then let us remind you that the winner of last year’s IPL was Mumbai Indians. They have bagged the IPL cup for three times in total since the inception of the IPL and they are one of the most successful teams of IPL until now. Home Ground for IPL Teams

Each of these team has a home ground and the home ground of the team is in the state which team represents. For example, the home ground of Delhi Daredevils is Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium which is located in Delhi. Similarly, the home stadium for Sunrisers Hyderabad is Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.

When a match is held between the two teams, the match is usually scheduled on the home stadium of one of these two teams and hence the home stadium holds a lot of importance for each and every team.
